Digital Family Health Companion
Case study

Project Overview
HealthVisor is a centralized health management platform designed to simplify how individuals and families handle medical information. Rather than juggling paper prescriptions, forgotten appointments, and untracked medicines, users can digitally store health records, manage family members, set reminders, and access emergency support through one seamless system.
The platform also integrates a medicine information feature, enabling users to understand the purpose and usage of their prescriptions while ensuring critical health data is available instantly when needed.
The Problem
Medical information is scattered across paper prescriptions, WhatsApp messages, hospital files, and memory.
Caregivers panic during emergencies because they don’t have instant access to critical health details.
People often miss medicines or checkups due to lack of structured reminders.
Many users consume medicines without fully understanding their purpose, dosage, or side effects.

Summary
User Research
User research was conducted through semi-structured interviews with working professionals, caregivers, and individuals managing ongoing health conditions. The objective was to understand how people currently store medical records, track prescriptions, manage appointments, and respond during emergencies. Most participants relied on physical documents, pharmacy slips, or memory to manage their health information, which often led to misplaced reports, forgotten medicine doses, and difficulty recalling past treatments during doctor visits.
Caregivers expressed particular anxiety about not having immediate access to critical medical details during emergencies. Additionally, many users admitted they take prescribed medicines without fully understanding their purpose or effects. These insights highlighted the need for a centralized, easy-to-use digital platform that simplifies health record management, improves medication adherence, and provides instant access to essential information when it matters most.
